They are all outstanding and I wanted to make sure you knew that you should be proud of them and their accomplishments.”

The Physical Therapy Department is joined by the Public Health and Health Sciences Department and Nursing Department to form the School of Health Professions and Studies (SHPS). This dynamic, vibrant, and growing school now enrolls 25% of the student body on campus. Dr. David Gordon, the new Dean of SHPS envisions the school engaging in collaborative efforts with the community to improve the health of local residents. SHPS is committed to providing the highest quality culturally appropriate health care education and services. The Urban Health and Wellness Center, operated through SHPS, is a center providing opportunity for inter-professional education, research, and practice. Through this center we offer a clinic with opportunities for faculty practice and research as well as student affiliations.
